Getting too personal? (2. Sprachenkongress Mitteldeutschlands)

Workshop, 23.09.2011 - 23.09.2011

Some of the most interesting classroom activities are those which touch directly on learners’ personal experiences, beliefs and feelings. However, they carry with them the danger that learners may find them threatening or simply too demanding. This workshop explores some of the issues involved in using personal topics, and will consider how activities can be made
to involve students personally without becoming threatening. Both workshops will include examples from a range of sources, including the new Cambridge adult course English Unlimited.

Caith do vóta! – an imeacht is nuálaí i mbliana

Chun an Lá a dhéanamh níos corraithí fós beidh fáilte roimh gach duine a thugann cuairt ar an suíomh a vóta a chaitheamh le haghaidh na himeachta LET is nuálaí ina thuairim. D’fhéadfadh imeacht a bheith nuálaíoch de bharr go bhfuil sí cruthaitheach, inaistrithe nó díreach toisc go léiríonn sé spiorad an Lae. Is féidir vótaí a chaitheamh ar feadh míosa ón 20 Meán Fómhair go dtí an 20 Deireadh Fómhair agus fógrófar an buaiteoir i mí na Nollag. Beidh duais bheag ar fáil don eagraí a bhfaighidh a imeacht/a himeacht an líon vótaí is mó.

Sa bhliain 2013 bhuaigh bunscoil Grabrik Primary School an duais. Fuair imeacht na scoile seo dar theideal "Language fun fair" breis is 1000 vóta le linn na tréimhse vótála. Comhghairdeas leis na buaiteoirí, maith sibh!
