Language day

 Language Day, 18 Jun 2019 - 28 Sep 2019, Beograd, Serbia

The Society "Union", Society "Russian Theater" and Children's Cultural Center "Fire-bird" plan to hold, the action "Day of the Russian language" in September within the framework of the European Day of Languages, in order to promote the Russian language in Serbia and the expansion of cultural and humanitarian cooperation. We want our children in Serbia to have the opportunity to learn their native language and speak it. We wish that other nations have the opportunity to join the Russian culture, that the Russian language is a tool for greater understanding and a key element in the rich cultural heritage of Europe. Lessons are held in the Russian language with drawing, folk art and theatrical classes (in Russian) with children from 4 to 16 years old. "Day of the Russian language" would be the final stage, a real celebration for children and adults. In addition to the children participating in the classes and their parents, we will invite other representatives of the Russian diaspora, as well as citizens of Serbia, media representatives. There will be competitions between teams of children and parents, a theatrical performance, watching cartoons created by our children, a concert programme.
