Mission autour du monde

 Competition/Tournament, 26 Sep 2018 - 27 Sep 2018, RJUKAN, Norway

“Mission around the world” is a French project that takes one of the most famous detectives of the world, Hercule Poirot, as a starting point for a trip on a mission.
The introductory phase aims to the following goals: find relevant information about the detective, get acquainted with French spoken countries and thus widen the geographical and linguistic horizon.
In the main phase there will be handed brochures that include several enigmas that the students will have to solve in order to help Poirot in his mission around the globe: find the assassin on the Orient Express.
In their strive to solve the riddles, puzzles, cross words, logical challenges aso., the students will have the possibility to resort to the main desk in order to get differentiated clues (graded after students’ language knowledge and abilities) that will lead to the right solution. The last clue will be revealed by putting up together the French spoken countries throughout the world. The entire voyage will be marked on the world map that the students are handed beforehand.
The brochure includes 26 enigmas, this is meant to raise the awareness around the date of the European Day of Languages, the 26th of September.
The activity will end with a “moustache feast”.
