Events of the European Day of Languages

Learn and play with us - school celebration of European Day of Languages 2018

Language Day, 26.09.2018 , Zielona Góra, Poland

During this day children will be included into various tasks and activities with the aim of recognizing the importance of speaking foreign languages for intercultural understanding.
The teachers of English and German in our school are going to prepare lessons in different languages - they will teach greetings and some useful words in French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and so on. Students are going to repeat these phrases and play mini dialogues, do the quizes in small groups, create posters, presentations about countries, listen to different songs and guess the language. Each teacher will choose the appropriate activity for their group. Some students will be encouraged to present their linguistic skills in differnet languages in front of the class and we'll record their performance.
Also the children will take part in games and conpetitions during the break time. We are going to display expressions in foreign languages in different places of school and children's task will be to find them and translate into Polish. Finally there will be the contest in which we are going to choose the most multilingual students and classrooms.
The results will be displayed on the school website.
