Joint celebration of the European Day of Languages

Serbian Association of School Librarians and Foreign Language and Literature Association of Serbia are to mark jointly the European Day of Languages, September 26, for the second time. They invited their members - school librarians and language teachers to participate with their students. They are invited to: - make an online quiz with concepts and translations from the languages learned in school; - make comics or panels with adequate themes or set up an exhibition; - through very short activities, introduce other students to the European family of languages, of which Serbian is an integral part, and write a word, sentence, or a quote; - online students can find information on health and prevention of the covid-19 virus in the languages taught in school, and explain how the coronavirus has changed the lives of all of us; they may provide this information and share it with language teachers and school librarians at the school's website, or add the same material to the library's electronic database for those who are interested; - write songs in foreign languages and translate them; - make short videos with greetings or sing in foreign languages, etc.

Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.
