European Day of Languages 2023 in the 1st Model High School of Ilion, Greece

 School project, 13 sep. 2023 - 20 oct. 2023, Athens, Grecia

The 1st Model HIgh School of Ilion in Greece celebrated the European Day of Languages 2023 by creating an informative, interactive, collaborative blog in the e-me Digital Educational Platform, provided of the Greek Ministry of Education. The blog consists of interactive maps, videos, language games and quizzes, presentations created by all students of our school who worked in teams. Most of the interactive material created concerned the languages being taught in our school, i.e. English, French and German besides Modern Greek. Moreover, we included Ancient Greek and Tsakonian dialect, which we study. Our effort was to sensitize not only our students but also their families, friends, and people around the globe on the value of learning languages and respecting other cultures in an effort to guarantee sustainability and global prosperity via mutual intercultural and multilingual respect. This short- term project was designed and supervised by foreign language teachers of our school, i.e. Mrs Politi Angeliki, teacher of EFL, Mrs Kassimis Johanna, and Mrs Kontaxi Natasa, teacher of French, Special thanks to Mrs Koutela, teacher of Ancient Greek for her contribution and to our school's administration for supporting this effort.
