A Journey Through the Languages of Europe: Learning words, Songs, and Traditions

For this year's European Day of Languages, young learners will have several different activities. They will mark countries of Europe on a map with different flags and learn how to say 'hello' and 'thank you' in different languages. They will create a poster about a specific country, and include basic phrases, pictures of famous places, traditional food, and interesting facts. Then, they will sing a simple song in different languages and dance while singing. After that, they will play a language bingo with different words in several European languages. The students divided into teams will also do a quiz about different European languages and countries. To spice things up, students will be told in advance to dress up in the colours of their favourite European flag.
