EDL Language Festival 2024

 Celebration, 27 Sep 2024, Zagreb, Croatia

The Festival of Languages 2024 is planned as central event organized to celebrate the European Day of Languages. The Festival, over the course of the day and in 8 lecture halls, will serve to promote multilingualism and language learning with a series of over 50 different lectures, language classes, quizzes, workshops and round tables covering the richness of over 30 European languages and dialects as well as the European cultural heritage and customs. Events organized for the Festival will include introductory language courses, lectures on translation by literary and poetry translators, workshops on audio-visual translation, interpreting and machine translation, numerous quizzes, demonstrations of various machine translation tools and other yet to be planned events. The partners of the event are the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the local EUNIC cluster from which 14 embassies and cultural institutes will be taking part.
