Let's Talk Languages

 Language Day, 19 Sep 2024 - 26 Sep 2024

One class from each of the Schools: Italy - Liceo Mamiani, Pesaro; Greece - 1° Geniko Lykeio Edessas, N. Oikonomidis; Luxembourg - Fieldgen private secondary school; Spain IES Enric Valor Castalla; Turkey - TOBB Fen Lisesi, Gaziantep. European Day of Languages online event: a brief presentation by each school of their activity for the European Day of Languages. Activities will be different from each school so they can present their activity on the 26th September in the Live Event Online. Activities may include: fun facts of their native language, general language facts, funny idioms or proverbs when translated; a tongue twister in many languages for everyone to say and have a laugh or sing a song! Also some may create a Video clip of their school or town and Slide presentations using different apps. Games and greeting each other! Eventually each school will make a poster for their school billboard with photos and list of activities from the event. We are looking forward to an enjoyable morning for all our students! Everything will be shared on a virtual wall eventually with access from each school. Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.

The event received 1900+ votes and was organised by Lycée Alfred Mézières de Longwy, France.
