Voices of Europe: Discover, Play, Speak!

On the 26th of September, we will celebrate the European Day of Languages with an exciting journey across Europe! Along the way, they will discover how to greet people in different European languages, try out funny tongue twisters, solve word puzzles, match flags to foods and greetings, and even guess songs from around the continent. Together, we will play, laugh, and learn to appreciate the rich variety of languages that make Europe unique. By the end of the day, every child will be a proud “European Language Explorer,” ready to say hello to the world in many voices!

Struggling to find ideas for an event for this year’s European Day of Languages? It can be challenging to organise events that are fun, inclusive, have an educational element and motivate a large number of people. Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.

The event received 1900+ votes and was organised by Lycée Alfred Mézières de Longwy, France.
