A kick off for the new school year with inspiration and creativity! The webinar offers an opportunity to inspire teachers, celebrate linguistic diversity, and highlight the power of languages beyond the classroom. Targeted at EFL teachers in Secondary Education, this session presents classroom ideas and activities to celebrate the EU Day of Languages, along with practical strategies to share and promote these initiatives at European and international level. A key focus is on language at the heart of democracy, exploring meaningful ways to integrate Human Rights Education into language teaching. At the same time, the webinar serves as a meeting point for teachers to connect, exchange experiences, and learn from one another. 📅 2 October 2025

Struggling to find ideas for an event for this year’s European Day of Languages? It can be challenging to organise events that are fun, inclusive, have an educational element and motivate a large number of people. Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.
