Celebrate Languages – Celebrate Diversity!

On September 23 and 25, Vergina Lyceum successfully carried out the event “Celebrate Languages! Celebrate Diversity!”, which was organised and implemented by the Foreign Languages Department together with the school’s Erasmus+ programme, on the occasion of the European Day of Languages. The event took the form of a knowledge competition held in two rounds. Our students had the opportunity to compete in questions related to the languages of Europe, their history, their cultural particularities, and the way languages function as a bridge of communication and unity among people. Throughout the competition, the student teams competed with enthusiasm while showing complete respect for their classmates. The spirit of cooperation and mutual support was evident, demonstrating that knowledge can serve as a means of unity and solidarity. Participation was universal, giving everyone the chance to be part of the process. At the same time, the collaboration between students and teachers was crucial to the event's success. This event was not just a knowledge competition, but also an opportunity for students to realise how important languages are for mutual understanding and for building a society free of discrimination.

Pleidleisiwch dros ddigwyddiad mwyaf arloesol eleni!  

I ychwanegu rhagor o gyffro i'r Diwrnod, gall unrhyw un sy'n ymweld â'r wefan bleidleisio dros yr hyn maen nhw'n ei feddwl yw'r digwyddiad Diwrnod Ieithoedd Ewrop mwyaf arloesol. Gall hyn fod o achos ei greadigrwydd, pa mor hawdd yw ei efelychu, neu gan ei fod wir yn cynrychioli ysbryd y Diwrnod.  Bydd modd pleidleisio am gyfnod o fis o 20 Medi – 20 Hydref, a bydd yr enillydd yn cael ei gyhoeddi ym mis Rhagfyr. Bydd gwobr fechan i drefnydd y digwyddiad sy'n derbyn y mwyaf o bleidleisiau.
