Try a New Language

This event is planned to coincide with the Culture Night celebrations in Ireland. We will open the doors of Europe House on the night (5-9pm) and enable members of the public to try taster sessions in Chinese, Czech, German, Japanese, Korean, Latvian. Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish and Spanish. To mark the 20th anniversary of the 2004 enlargement of the EU, classes will be offered in all languages of the 2004 Member States, spread between this event and the online event on 26 September. Registration encouraged but not required. Places on desired sessions may not be available to those without prior registration

Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.

The event received 1900+ votes and was organised by Lycée Alfred Mézières de Longwy, France.
