European language day

Students in Years 8 and 9 have prepared activities at 34 stations for students in Years 5, 6 and 7. The younger pupils will collect the stamps after succseeding and passing the tasks connected with European languages. During morning assembly whole school will be at school yard and school parlament leader will talk about the importance to learn languages because they build the bridges between people of all cultures. Pupils also dressed in the colours of European countries flags which they chose from ruffle. After playing European athem all activities will start. At one station they could have painted the flag of the chosen country on their face. At the end of actiivity each child will get sweet reward and some little things like pen, bracelt or poster

Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.

The event received 1900+ votes and was organised by Lycée Alfred Mézières de Longwy, France.
