”Our Class European Bistro”- A European Culinary Journey

Join us for an exciting English lesson celebrating the European Day of Languages through the universal language of food! This event combines language learning and cultural exploration as 6th-grade students embark on a culinary adventure across Europe. Students will work in collaborative teams to research and present traditional recipes from five European countries: French Crêpes, Italian Pasta Carbonara, Spanish Tortilla Española, German Apfelstrudel, and Greek Salad. The hands-on activities include learning authentic culinary vocabulary in multiple languages, describing delicious recipes, and collectively creating “Our Class European Bistro” a restaurant menu complete with prices, descriptions, and original language terms. This experience concludes with interactive role-playing, where students practice ordering from their menu using English structures. The purpose of this activity is to enhance English language skills, build cultural awareness, encourage teamwork, and support presentation confidence. Students will develop a greater appreciation for European linguistic diversity and unforgettable memories that make language learning both meaningful and “delicious!”

Piper eta gatz pixka bat emateko HEGari, gure orrira sartzen zarenean botoa ematen ahalko duzu berritzaileena iruditzen zaizun HEG ekitaldiaren alde, sorkuntza gisara aipagarriena delako, edo bere erabilgarritasunagatik, edo, besterik gabe, egunaren esanahia hobekien islatzen duena delako.  Bozketa hilabetez egonen da zabalik, irailaren 22tik urriaren 21era; abenduan jakinaraziko da irabazlearen izena. Botorik gehien jasotzen dituen ekitaldiaren antolatzaileari oroigarri bat emanen zaio.
