“Linguine” is a fun, educational board game created to celebrate the European Day of Languages. The name comes from the Italian word meaning “little tongues”, inspired by the long, flat pasta shape that resembles a tongue.
The game tests players’ knowledge of the many and varied languages spoken across Europe. Just as culinary diversity enriches food, linguistic diversity enriches communication and culture.
Designed primarily for classroom use, the game can be played by groups of 2-6 players and is available in two versions:
- Beginner level featuring relatively straightforward questions, making it a perfect starting point for newcomers to Europe’s linguistic landscape.
- Advanced level, with more demanding questions for experienced language detectives eager put their linguistic skills to the test.
Working together in teams, players progress on their journey by answering questions and taking on language-related challenges. Whether you choose the 'Beginner' or 'Advanced' version, the game offers an entertaining way to discover Europe's rich linguistic heritage.
