To learn a language is to have one more window from which to look at the world (c)

 Other activity, 19 Sep 2017 - 26 Sep 2017, Moscow, Russian Federation

The event is planned as a part of the European language day festival.
It consists of the following steps:
Anyone eager to take part in the event should buy a postcard (as many as they want), write down a wish in different languages they study, randomly choose an address on Google Maps and give the postcards to the organizers. At the end of the day organizers go to the nearest post-office, buy stamps and send the postcards.
We’ll film the process and then make a video which you will find on the EDL-website.
We will run a lottery: the authors of three randomly chosen postcards get a prize – EDL-branded bracelets and stickers.

Vote for this year’s most innovative event!

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.

2019's 'most innovative event' is
Fotbañol/ Jugar al fútbol y aprender español”!

The event received 1000+ votes and was organised by Colegiul Național "Ștefan cel Mare".

Congratulations to the winners!

We were most impressed by the creativity and great effort which went into organising the events submitted and would like to thank all organisers of EDL events in 2019.
