The competition for the EDL t-shirt will start on 1 September .


We would like to thank everyone who entered the competition. With so many excellent designs among the over 3,000 entries received, it was an extremely difficult task to select just one winner this year!

Your design goes here!

Send us your design/image/graphic and have your layout on the official EDL T-Shirt!

  1. Please keep in mind that the design should be about languages, not countries. So please don't use flags or similar.
  2. You can use up to 3 colours. Keep in mind that we need a simple design that is not too complex or that has small details. This will increase printing quality.
  3. The design cannot go over the seams of the t-shirt, it must be placed on the front. Keep in mind that the maximum printing surface is 30 cm x 30 cm
  4. The design cannot contain third party copyright logos or material.
  5. By sending us the design you agree that we can use it free of charge on our websites, on the t-shirts and on promotional media (such as Facebook or flyers). Of course we will always add your name to it.
  6. Please upload .jpg or .gif only

Submission deadline: 31 December.

The winner will also receive up to 10 t-shirts to give to his/her classmates!

EDL T-shirt contest winner 2026  

The winner of the 2026 EDL T-shirt contest is Maria Beatriz Castro (Portugal). Congratulations!

This drawing represents the power of language diversity. It can open minds and hearts. Knowing several languages helps to break down barriers and brings people together, which is why I chose to make it half heart, half brain. The face in the heart shows the power of words in our hearts and minds. Embracing language diversity is the first step to value all human beings and cultures as unique, bringing us closer to a society where respect for the others prevails.
