Languages lead our hearts and minds to knowledge

Our school celebrated the European Day of Languages by playing games suggested by the official webpage and games that the school teachers organized. Moreover, the school implemented an action related to the European Day of Languages by doing a special activity.The activity was based on an interdisciplinary worksheet on the occasion of a tour of Aristotelous Square and the Roman Forum. The students searched for inscriptions and signs in various foreign languages, answered a historical knowledge quiz about the Roman Forum and exploited the use of European languages, and in particular Latin-derived languages, in combination with the Latin language in an informational text about the Roman Agora/Forum of Thessaloniki. Moreover, they identified foreign historical and commercial terms as well as landmarks, translated sports terms related to sports that can be played around our school, recorded the menu of nearby restaurants in different languages and played a translation game with everyday words and expressions in different European languages. Additionally, the students translated religious terms into various European languages. The synthesis of the collected material will lead to the creation of a tourist guide or poster that will present the sights that can be seen and the options that a tourist has in the area around the school. Iščete ideje, kako ob letošnjem evropskem dnevu jezikov organizirati dogodek z upoštevanjem socialne distance? V teh negotovih časih je pravi izziv organizirati dogodke za veliko število ljudi, ki bi bili varni in hkrati tudi privlačni. Spodaj je navedenih nekaj idej, ki lahko poženejo vaše ustvarjalne misli. Večina teh idej je zasnovana po načelu »če želiš postati velik, začni z majhnimi koraki. 20 idej za letošnji evropski dan jezikov.

Glasujte za najbolj inovativen dogodek v letošnjem letu!  

Da bi evropskemu dnevu jezikov dodali še eno zanimivost, smo vsem, ki obiščejo spletno stran omogočili, da glasujejo za dogodek, ki se jim zdi najbolj inovativen dogodek evropskega dneva jezikov. Razlogi za to so lahko kreativnost, prenosljivost ali to, da dogodek resnično ponazarja bistvo evropskega dneva jezikov. Glasovanje bo odprto en mesec, od 20. septembra do 20. oktobra. Zmagovalec bo razglašen decembra. Organizatorjem dogodka, ki je dobil največ glasov, bomo podelili skromno nagrado.

Dogodek je prejel glasov 900, organiziral pa ga je Istituto Superiore “Secusio”, Caltagirone, Italia.

Čestitke zmagovalcem!

Najbolj smo bili navdušeni nad kreativnostjo in delom, ki je bil vložen v organizacijo vseh prijavljenih dogodkov, prav tako pa bi se želeli zahvaliti vsem organizatorjem dogodkov ob EDJ v letu 2025.
