European Day of Languages: Online Quiz

Dear teacher, On the 26th of September is the European Day of Languages: a celebration of all the languages spoken in the European Union. It’s a celebration of how language allows for internationalization, world citizenship, and intercultural understanding. The English for Kids Foundation, the Dutch representative of EDL, is offering an activity for schools to join easily online and free of charge! We have designed this activity to be fun for students, teachers, and a great promotion for the schools! Not to mention, we have great prizes for the winners of the contest! Thanks to the cooperation with Anglia, we’re offering an online quiz which students/classrooms can join to test their knowledge. Compete with schools from the Netherlands and abroad! Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.
