European Social Media Day for Small Languages

Come join the International Social Media Day for Small Languages!

Why?
– to celebrate our languages,
– to make our languages more visible on social media,
– to make people aware about the existence and added value of our languages
– to encourage people to use their language on social media

How?
Team up with different organisations/companies from different small language regions to make a big statement on Sept. 26th.

Encouraging as much people/organisations/companies as possible to tweet and post in #Cymraeg, #Euskara, #Gaeilge, #Gàidhlig, #Galego, #Kernowek, #Frysk etc. on social media channels, like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

At the moment 16 organisations from 16 small language regions/countries have already agreed to join the initiative.

Vote for this year’s most innovative event!  

To add a further element of spice to the Day, anyone visiting the website can vote for what they regard as the most innovative EDL event. This can be due to its creativity, transferability or just because it truly represents the spirit of the Day. Voting will be open for one month, from 20 September – 20 October, with the winner to be announced in December. There will be a small prize for the organizer of the event which receives the most votes.

 
2019's 'most innovative event' is

The event received 1000+ votes and was organised by Colegiul Național "Ștefan cel Mare".
