Languages, geography and sport - be fast, be smart and above all be a team player

This year we have decided to celebrate European Day of Languages and the European School Sport Day (ESSD) together. Our school organized a competition for our upper grade students. One week prior to the competition, 45 students - five representatives of each class had been assigned a country and they had to learn ten words in that country's language, the capital city, the flag and the country's famous athletes. So, on the day of the competition the cards with those words and pictures were placed in a colorful circle. Students had to run to the circle after overcoming a few obstacles on their way, then find the the card with the picture or words in their assigned language and then run back to their assigned post and place the collected cards on a large poster board, where they had to match those words and pictures with the words written in English and French, since these languages are taught in our school. The team that collected all the words and pictures fastest and matched them correctly was the winner - in this case Sweden. Students who didn't participate watched and cheered. Also, our culinary teachers have prepared food with their students in accordance with the event, so the students and teachers had the opportunity to taste some of the famous meals from around Europe after the activities were completed.

Проголосуйте за самое новаторское мероприятие!  

Каждый посетитель сайта может выбрать понравившееся ему мероприятие и проголосовать за него как за самое новаторское. Это может быть на основе его креативности, передаваемости или просто потому что действительно отражает дух Дня.
