Opening Hearts and Minds Through Languages at the 1st Middle School of Volos

In celebration of the European Day of Languages, our school organized a variety of activities designed to promote awareness of Europe’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity. Students from different classes played games from the official EDL website, such as “Where am I?” and “Are you a Language Detective?”, which helped them discover different languages and cultures in an enjoyable and interactive way. They also listened to the EDL song “Voices of Europe.” The lyrics were distributed with gaps, and students had to fill in the missing words while listening carefully. Once the lyrics were complete, everyone sang the song together, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. Finally, following this year’s theme “Languages open hearts and minds,” students shared their thoughts on how languages help people connect, understand one another, and build friendships. They then decided to express their ideas by painting a poster to participate in the EDL Poster Competition.

Проголосуйте за самое новаторское мероприятие!  

Каждый посетитель сайта может выбрать понравившееся ему мероприятие и проголосовать за него как за самое новаторское. Это может быть на основе его креативности, передаваемости или просто потому что действительно отражает дух Дня. Голосование будет открыто с 20 сентября по 20 октября, а победитель будет объявлен в декабре. Организаторы, получившие наибольшее число голосов, получат маленький приз.
