Mixxer

A free educational website for language exchanges via Skype. Users can find language partners and talk via Skype. Users can make blog entries in their target languages and receive feedback from other users/native speakers. The idea is to connect language learners from around the world and to help each other learn languages.

Evaluation: Mixxer can be useful for teachers as they can create a group for their classes, and invite native speakers from other communities to join the group, thus enabling their students to communicate in their target language. MIxxer is a good way to expose students to authentic language use and communication. To make a group, you need to verify that you are a teacher, which provides some level of security.
