Langblog

Langblog is an audio/videoblog used for the teaching of oral production skills. It can be used as a part of your own learning management system (such as Moodle) or accessed via the SpeakApps website. Students can record themselves and comment on recordings made by other students. Audio and video posts are directly created online with no software installation required.

Evaluation: This is an open-source software made specifically for education which means that teachers and student do not have to go through complicated steps of recording themselves, uploading their videos etc. LangBlog allows users to do it all in one place. Moreover, privacy concerns are avoided because LangBlog works within the confines of a learning management system (such as Moodle). Keep in mind that, to use LangBlogs with your students, you have to register on the SpeakApps site or have your institution’s technician install it on your learning management system (such as Moodle).

Cost: Free with registration
