2024: Trendy sports all around the world

 Workshop, 27 ira. 2024 - 27 ira. 2024, Jihlava, Czechia

The school organises practical workshops (guided by foreigners and those who speak foreign languages) in which pupils become familiar with foreign languages and respective cultures. The workshops are aimed at introducing sociocultural specifics or particular cultures, practising everyday phrases in foreign languages and dealing with a pre-selected topic. This year’s workshops are focused on sports around the world. With respect to Coubertin’s values, the mission of this year’s project is to encourage tolerance, mutual respect and principles of fair play in intercultural communication across different cultures, whatever language they use. Afterwards, pupils create a quiz for their classmates in which they summarize useful phrases and pieces of information. These important and interesting facts might be then useful when travelling, meeting new friends and dealing with everyday tasks in today’s globalised world.
