Language journey across Europe!

 Language Day, 24 ira. 2024 - 27 ira. 2024, Stare Miasto, Poland

On September 24, Józef Bem Primary School in Stare Miasto celebrated the European Day of Languages for the sixth time. Our leading goals are: - raising awareness of the benefits of learning foreign languages, - emphasizing their role and importance in our lives, - shaping an attitude of respect for other cultures. To celebrate this day students from grades I-VIII were asked to prepare a stand presenting a previously chosen country. A total of 531 students took part in the project. The students' tasks was to present selected characteristic features of a given country in an interesting way. The presentation may concern food, interesting facts, riddles about the country, the national costume. Additionally, a song or a poem in a foreign language can be presented. Students can also prepare national symbols. The committee evaluated the stand according to the following criteria: - substantive value of the prepared stands, -linguistic correctness, -aesthetic value, alternatively taste value, -originality/innovation/creativity. After having watched all the stands (each class prepares a stand in their own classroom), the most creative classes was choosen and the prizes were awarded.
