3Cs - Create, Comprehend, Celebrate

For a second year in a row the 2nd Kindergarten of Kalamaria celebrates the European Day of Languages with educational activities. Starting from Monday 25th September until Thursday 28th September our kindergartners with the aid of their kindergarten teachers and their English language teacher Create – European Day of Languages themed posters Comprehend – The way that languages can contribute to intercultural communication through a beloved by preschoolers song. The children become acquainted with the same song in five different European languages (Greek, English, French, Italian and German) and they realize that we can express and share the same feelings, even though these languages are different. Take part – In an event taking place in our schoolyard, where our kindergartners from all our classes present their actions and projects. The children volunteer to sing a song of their choice in the language they know. We bring the celebration to a close with the slogan “We say YES to the Languages”.
