’Languages lead our heart and mind to new worlds

 Other activity, 25 Set 2025 - 31 Diċ 2025, Thessaloniki, Greċja

The students of 1st Evening Junior High School of Thessaloniki celebrated the European Day of Languages 2025, by playing games that are suggested in the official European- Day- of- Languages webpage, translating Greek words from various subjects into other European languages and drawing the flags of various European countries whose languages they speak or prefer. Moreover, towards Christmas, some of them used their native language to describe how they celebrate Christmas in their countries, thus showing us the power languages have when we use them to describe new customs, traditions, ideas and, ultimately, new worlds! The slogan of the action was: ‘’Languages lead our heart and mind to new worlds’’. Congratulations to all the students who participated in the action! Special thanks to students Sarkisian Inga, Gramada Angela Camelia and Manoli Fotini who painted and wrote about Christmas traditions in their countries(Russia, Romania and Greece respectively). Thank you! Teachers in charge of the action: 1) Damtsi Efthymia (Teacher of English) 2) Channaki Alexandra (Philologist).
