One is not enough and three is not a crowd

Language Day, 26 sep 2024, Krusevac, Serbia

Inspired by workshops organised last autumn: "Pluralistic approaches to languages and cultures" and "Supporting multilingual classrooms", teachers and students of our school have prepared several short, comic sketches based on misunderstandings due to false friends in languages. The languages used were Serbian, school languages (English, German, Italian, and French) with a dash of Spanish, which is not taught in our school. The aim is to use comedy to emphasize the importance of speaking as many languages as possible to avoid misinterpretation or misunderstanding. On the Day of Languages, the students are going to perform in front of audience.
