European Day of Languages

 Language Day, 26 MFómh 2023 - 28 MFómh 2023, Iasi, Romania

1. Sing along! L’universale Sprache de musique Throughout the day students will listen to famous songs in English, French, German and Italian; they will sing along and dance on some of the catchiest songs of all time! 2. Let’s create – Wörter diventano art! Coloured chalk, the dark pavement in the school yard and … imagination: that’s all students need to create wonderful word-clouds made up of their favourite words in the languages they know! As a bonus, they will decorate themselves as well, with bracelets presenting their favourite words and with body-painted flags. 3. Mihai Eminescu – European writer Students will read and recite poems written by the Romanian national poet, Mihai Eminescu, both in the original language and in various translated versions. They will also try to translate themselves some of the great poet’s works into a foreign language of their choice. 4. Entdecke le meravigliose languees européennes! Draw the words and translate them into different languages! Students will choose six words to represent in drawing, and they will then translate them into five European languages. The most beautiful drawings (together with their related translations) will be selected and used to decorate the school hallways.
