“Languages ​​– buoys for peace”

The students of the European Club began their activities with the project “Languages ​​– buoys for peace” which allowed students/teachers of languages ​​(Portuguese, English and Spanish) from basic, secondary and professional education to be involved in the celebration of the European Day of Languages. , promoting reflection on the importance of languages ​​for achieving and maintaining peace. In this way, the Club's students, together with several classes from the Group, carried out research, selected information about the European Day of Languages ​​and the importance of different languages ​​in the world panorama, reflected on the importance of communication and mutual understanding in building a world more peaceful and created objects (buoys) presenting words that promote peace. They also organized a collective exhibition, in the Main Building of the Porto de Mós School, seeking to highlight that languages ​​play a crucial role as instruments of cultural preservation and as “rescue buoys” for the construction of sustainable peace.
