The Polyglot Tourist

Language classes, 26 sep 2024 - 26 sep 2024, Curtea de Arges, Rumänien

The Polyglot Tourist activity involves pupils thinking of a dream destination in Europe and creating a linguistic guide for it. The pupils, either divided in groups by destination, or individually, will gather the most used expressions, phrases and words in the language of the destination and will include them in a guide for all tourists. They may also research and include in the guide: general rules of writing and pronunciation, specific letters or accents that are used in the destination native language. The guides will use English as a base language for translation. Being involved in this activity, pupils will have the opportunity to achieve basic knowledge about other European languages through non-formal education.
